A new week

I'm still in the green of Iowa and freezing! The 45 degree drop between Arizona and Iowa is just about doing me in. Plus the pediatrician recommended keeping the house between 68 - 70 degrees as they think babies being too warm contributes to SIDS. At my house, when it is 68 degrees inside, I'm wearing a sweater.

Other than that we are having a great time. My husband and daughter arrived and we've been hanging out watching movies and holding the baby. However, all good things must come to an end. On Tuesday, I'm off to visit my dad for a few days before returning home. I've already heard we have a "to do" list, so expect to keep busy while I'm there.

It has been a great trip but I'm already getting homesick. It has been 7 days since I left and I won't be home until next Sunday. I miss my cats and my own bed. Do you think there is such a thing as too much vacation?

There is something seriously amazing about your own bed and your own cats, isn't there?

This will go by so quickly though--enjoy!

Traveling would be just about perfect if you could sleep at home with your own kitties every night. Sounds lilke you're having a good time anyway. Blessings on your grandbaby and the great-grandfather!

I ususally need a few days to recover from the vacation. They can wear you out so fast!

Enjoy the grandbaby while you can, they grow up so fast.

That's the trick to a vacation, to make it long enough to really enjoy, but not so long you're desperate for home by the end. Also, to not spend twentybamillion hours driving home.

I hope your time with your dad is fun, on top of being productive. You're bringing him pictures of the newest family member, right?

68 degrees is cold? Arizona has thinned your blood. We've finally had some sunny, 70 degree days and everyone is running around in shorts and tank tops.

I hope the time with your dad is good. But there is nothing like coming home.
